Titespot® Coolant Driven Spindle Speeders

About

Titespot® coolant driven spindle speeders incorporate a positive displacement ball piston motor powered by your high pressure coolant system potentially increasing your machining centres spindle speed by as much as 13,500 rpm (load dependent).

On a turning centre equipped with high pressure coolant, both the Angle & Inline version of the Titespot® coolant driven head provide a low cost way to convert an ordinary lathe to live tooling, multiple set ups and production times can be reduced dramatically.

The spindle speeder incorporates an industry standard ER16 collet system powered by the drive shaft and motor whilst exhausting coolant directly to the cutting zone removing swarf, keeping your cutting edge cool, helping to reduce tooling costs.

Titespot® spindle speeders will increase your spindle speed approx. by 225 rpm per litre of coolant flow. For example if your maximum spindle speed is 6000 rpm and your coolant delivery system is 24 lpm your tool speed will be 11,400 RPM. 6000 + 5400 = 11,400

Features & Benefits

Titespot® Coolant Driven Spindle Speeders:

  • Machine spindle rotation can be added to the speeder rpm. Simply turn on your spindle and high pressure coolant and add both speeds together.
  • Loads easily from ATC on a machining centre
  • Continuous duty cycle. Will not overheat
  • Convert your lathe to live tool
